Artist Introduciton

Kim Eunmi seamlessly merges traditional Korean lacquer art "Otchil" with a contemporary and minimalist approach, earning international acclaim. Notably, her works have dazzled audiences at prestigious exhibitions garnering praise for their amazing qualities.

Kim's artistry shines through her meticulous use of natural materials in series like 'The Earth,' capturing landscapes with thick layers and luxurious gloss distinctive to Otchil. A Hongik University graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's degree, Kim actively engages in the art scene, including guest lectures and receiving the Paris Critics Association Award.

Expressing a philosophy of life's cyclical nature through her art, Kim masterfully utilizes the millennium-old Otchil technique, highlighting its advantages like antiseptic and fire resistance. Despite the challenges of the meticulous process requiring over 15 layers, her pieces consistently receive high praise and sell out globally.

Kim Eunmi's lacquer art gains attention domestically and internationally at Art Fairs such as LA Art Show(US), Art Taipei(Taiwan), KIAF & DIAF(Korea) resulting in sold-out success. Dedicated to creating timeless works, Kim Eunmi continues to captivate a burgeoning global audience, transcending cultural boundaries. Her ability to master the intricate and demanding process of lacquer art further highlights the rarity and exceptional nature of her creations.
